Both saris and lehenga cholis can be worn on the D-Day by the bride, but mostly lehenga-cholis are being preferred by almost all designers.
A sari draped beautifully or in a lehenga style can also work for a bride greatly. Various draping styles of saris are currently in trend. Draping a sari in a new style will make the whole look of the bride unconventional and starkly different form other women present in the celebration.
Bright Colors are in fashion
Blending of fabric is popularly in bridal wear fashion these days. Doing gold zardosi work and silk thread work is again something that looks amazingly beautiful. This makes the garment appear heavy and full of some beautiful designs on the dress. Although reds and maroons are most commonly opted for by brides, this is the season to experiment.
Going for color combinations such as pista green with wine red, baby pink with oyster blue, pale yellow with sap green and creams with gold are very much in trend. Beautiful karigari on nets, mirror work cholis with bright lehengas and Kanjivaram block prints can be tried by young brides.
Heavy Lehengas are back
Flowy lehengas are ‘in’ this season. Heavy work lehengas can be opted for these days. One thing that must be kept in mind is that these lehengas are so heavy that they might require a dress rehearsal to master your walk.
You can go for heels or nawabi jutis depending on the look of your dress. If you are wearing a sari, stick to heeled sandles.So take help of a good designer and make a style statement beautifully on your wedding day!
